POSITION PROFILE & RESPONSIBILITIES
After an intensive training period you will assist your colleagues, as a Telecom Platform Engineer within the Operations team, in the implementation and follow-up of national and international projects in direct collaboration with the other internal departments. Your versatile task package includes, among other things:
A. Making server hardware ready for operation, installing our platform software, carrying out factory tests and documenting the installation.
B. Carrying out the on-site installations for our mobile and fixed telecom customers, integrating into the operator network and carrying out site acceptance tests.
C. Providing second- and third-line support on the telephone and following up the result with the Development and Quality Assurance departments.
D. After some time, providing training to the ICT engineers of our customers.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
For this important position, only DYNAMIC, AMBITIOUS personalities are taken into account, who meet the following qualifications:
1. Preferable you have experience with similar tasks as described under items A to D above. We are looking for both school-leavers and experienced ICT professionals.
2. You have an education in IT or electronics and display a thorough knowledge of Windows Server, SQL Server and networking. Knowledge of telecoms is a plus (SS7, SIP, VoIP).
3. Experience in providing support to customers.
4. You are able to express yourself well (also in English), which enables you to persuasively communicate the innovative Artilium company philosophy to your external contacts.
5. You take the initiative and operate in an efficient and anticipating manner to attain pragmatic solutions.

FUNCTIE INHOUD & VERANTWOORDELIJKHEDEN
Na een intensieve inwerkperiode zal u als Telecom Platform Engineer binnen het Operations team uw collega’s bijstaan in het uitvoeren en opvolgen van binnen- en buitenlandse projecten in directe samenwerking met de andere interne afdelingen. Tot uw veelzijdig takenpakket behoren o.a.:
A. Serverhardware bedrijfsklaar maken, installeren van onze platform-software, factorytesten uitvoeren en documenteren van de installatie.
B. Uitvoeren van de on-site installaties van onze mobiele en vaste telecomklanten, integreren in het operator netwerk en site acceptance testen afnemen.
C. Verlenen van tweede- en derdelijns telefonische support en het resultaat opvolgen met de Development en Quality Assurance afdelingen.
D. Na verloop van tijd instaan voor het opleiden van de ICT-engineers van onze klanten.
GEWENSTE KWALIFICATIES
Voor deze belangrijke functie komen uitsluitend DYNAMISCHE, AMBITIEUZE persoonlijkheden in aanmerking, die beantwoorden aan de volgende kwalificaties:
1. U heeft bij voorkeur reeds een eerste ervaring met soortgelijke taken zoals hierboven omschreven van A t/m D. Wij zoeken zowel schoolverlaters als ervaren ICT’ers.
2. U heeft een informatica- of elektronicaopleiding genoten, maar geeft vooral blijk van een grondige kennis van Windows Server, SQL Server en networking. Kennis van telecom is een pluspunt (SS7, SIP, VoIP).
3. Enige ervaring in het verlenen van support aan klanten strekt tot aanbeveling.
4. U kan zich duidelijk uitdrukken (ook in het Engels), waardoor u op een overtuigende wijze de innovatieve Artilium bedrijfsfilosofie naar externe contacten weet duidelijk te maken.
5. Als initiatiefrijk persoon gaat u op een doortastende manier te werk en bekomt u pragmatische oplossingen, terwijl u nooit vergeet vooruitziend te zijn.
