POSITION PROFILE & RESPONSIBILITIES
After an intensive training period you will assist your colleagues, as a System Engineer within the Operations team, in the implementation and following up of national and international projects in direct collaboration with the Development department. Your versatile task package includes, among other things:
A. Making server hardware ready for operation, installing the software, carrying out factory tests and documenting the installation.
B. Carrying out the on-site installations at the customer, integrating into their network and carrying out site acceptance tests.
C. Providing support on the telephone and following up the result with the Development department.
D. Delivering training on our products to the ICT engineers of our customers.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Preferable you have some experience with similar tasks as described above.
2. You have an education in IT or electronics and display a thorough knowledge of Windows Server, SQL Server and networking. Knowledge of telecoms is a plus (SS7, SIP, VoIP).
3. Experience in providing support to customers.
4. You are able to express yourself well and also a good listener.
5. Organisationally you are strong and you have an ambitious attitude and an assertive personality.
6. You are fluent in your use of the English language, both in written and spoken form.

FUNCTIE INHOUD & VERANTWOORDELIJKHEDEN
U staat als System Engineer binnen het Operations team uw collega’s bij in het uitvoeren en opvolgen van binnen- en buitenlandse projecten in directe samenwerking met de Development afdeling. Tot uw veelzijdig takenpakket behoren o.a. :
A. Serverhardware bedrijfsklaar maken, installeren van de software, factorytesten uitvoeren en documenteren van de installatie.
B. Uitvoeren van de on-site installaties bij de klant, integreren in hun netwerk en site acceptance testen afnemen.
C. Verlenen van telefonische support en het resultaat opvolgen met de Development afdeling.
D. Instaan voor het opleiden van de ICT-engineers van onze klanten.
GEWENSTE KWALIFICATIES
1. U heeft bij voorkeur een eerste succesvolle ervaring met soortgelijke taken en verantwoordelijkheden zoals hierboven omschreven van A t/m D.
2. U heeft een informatica- of electronicaopleiding genoten, maar geeft vooral blijk van een grondige kennis van Windows 200x Server, SQL Server en networking. Kennis van telecom is een pluspunt ( SS7, SIP, VoIP ).
3. Enige ervaring in het verlenen van support aan klanten strekt tot aanbeveling.
4. U kan zich vlot uitdrukken, maar vergeet daarbij niet ook luistervaardig te zijn.
5. Organisatorisch staat u sterk en bent ambitieus van ingesteldheid en assertief van persoonlijkheid.
6. U heeft een zeer goede kennis van de Engelse taal, zowel gesproken als geschreven.
