Artilium’s Mobile Presence technology intelligently combines highly accurate, continuous real-time location and state awareness to enable a vast range of new mobile commerce, advertising and social networking services based on the company’s patented Tri-cell Intelligent Location System (TILS).
Artilium’s Mobile Presence solution combines user information about location, status and connectivity and acts on the results according to user preferences.
Location
Define position absolutely. As users are observed moving from cell to cell on their networks, positioning is more accurate than equivalent Google My Location or Cell ID technologies, broadening the potential for location-based service provisioning.
Status
Define position relatively. Integrating with desktop computing, Internet calendar and instant messaging technologies, ARTA monitors status settings (at work, in a meeting etc) and physical relationships with location data to route incoming call traffic accordingly.
Connectivity
A range of bandwidth options and varying potential latencies govern the efficiency with which users connect to network systems. ARTA modifies traffic in order to accommodate the efficient receipt and appropriate termination of calls.

Location-based Social Networking
Allowing subscribers to communicate, share information and meet friends whilst on the move, Artilium Services Ecosystem partner MobiLuck has taken the concept of social networks to a mobile environment and added location functionality. ARTA enables MobiLuck technology, enhanced by Artilium’s own Tri-cell Intelligent Location System (TILS), to be deployed as an operator-branded service.
At the Office/Out of Office
Artilium’s location-aware services can recognise an environment by a user’s access to Microsoft Office-based applications. Thus personal calls can be diverted to voice mail automatically while the in-office status remains active.
Changing the way in which a phone accesses a service can update the availability status of a user. In an office environment a user may access wireless services. When users leave work, moving out of range of wireless access, the network can update the user’s status to “out of office” and modify their availability status accordingly.
Fleet and Personnel Management
Artilium’s TILS technology allows companies to cost-effectively implement a fleet management system which uses location data collected from individuals’ mobile handsets to monitor cargo progress in the case of haulage firms, or personnel’s locations on the road in the case of sales or service teams.
