Multi-tenancy MVNO
Overview
In today’s evolving and competitive market, network operators and service providers need sophisticated underlying technology to launch Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) safely and rapidly. ARTA’s multi-tenancy MVNO solution accomplishes just that.
Platform layout
The MVNO solution is based on the ARTA platform and allows mobile network operators and service providers amongst others to:
- Create, view and modify customer relationship information directly in the system, creating a varied set of predefined tariff schemes if desired, both postpaid and prepaid;
- Activate/deactivate the subscriber process, features and services, and manage Number Portability interactions;
- Have full-service control and real-time rating of the provided services by the MVNO;
- Apply intelligent call routing to improve quality and effectiveness of termination and lower operational cost;
- Have users manage their accounts via web, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), SMS and Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) and top up from multiple channels;
- Innovate user offerings through location based technology and an eco-system of (third-party) application developers.
Multi-tenancy framework
Because of its multi-tenancy features, the ARTA platform is an ideal solution for mobile network operators who have a number of MVNOs or Mobile Virtual Network Enablers (MVNEs) who cater to MVNOs. Securing access to different databases is essential in multi-tenancy environments, as one MVNO may not be allowed to access the data of another.
For multi-tier platforms of telecom equipment owners, who want to allow third parties to manage their own collection of MVNO databases, there will be a central system database and a number of linked system databases (possibly in different domains and/or geographical locations). MNOs who have a number of MVNOs, can partition their system database and allow each MVNO access to the reseller database of that MVNO, which the MVNO can manage independently of the network owner.
